NEW DELHI: The Delhi police have informed the Supreme Court that an FIR over sexual harassment allegations levelled by seven women grapplers against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh would be registered on Friday.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the Delhi police, told a Bench comprising Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Narasimha that the FIR would be registered Friday itself.

The wrestlers said they will lodge multiple FIRs against Wrestling Federation of India president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh if the WFI is not disbanded immediately.

MUMBAI: The BCCI on Friday formed a four-member internal complaints committee for prevention of sexual harassment against women at the workplace. The BCCI has constituted the committee in line with Sexual Harassment against Women at Workplace Act 2013 (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal), which states that any company should have an internal committee that deals with any atrocities towards women.
