COLOMBO: Sony Pictures Network India (SPN) has bagged the rights to broadcast the inaugural edition of the Lankan Premier League (LPL) T20 tournament, set to kick off later this month.  In response to a question raised on Twitter, Sony Pictures Sports Network India (SPSN) confirmed that it will be broadcasting the tournament on its channel, Sri Lanka's Newswire reports.

COLOMBO: After a protracted process, Sri Lanka Cricket has "got real" and eventually struck a deal with Sony Pictures Network India wherein SPN will retain the broadcasting and digital rights (originally held by Ten Sports) for all home international cricket matches played in Sri Lanka for the next three years from 2020.

MUMBAI: Uday Sodhi, executive vice-president and head, digital business, Sony Pictures Network India, is leaving the broadcast network.  Sodhi has been heading Sony’s digital business for the past five years and was responsible for the operations of its video streaming service SonyLIV. He will now pursue entrepreneurial ventures in the start-up space, a statement from the company said.

MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) partnered with the Cricket Association for the Blind of Maharashtra (CABM) as sponsors for the SPN Challenge Trophy 2018, a state level tournament for the blind. MUMBAI: The Kumite 1 League (K1L), India’s first global mixed martial arts promotion, was launched in the city on Friday by legendary American boxer Mike Tyson and Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan. MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Network India (SPN) and sports entertainment brand WWE have announced that WWE Superstar Braun Strowman will be making his second trip to India straight from his cage match versus Kevin Owens at the special ‘Extreme Rules’ next weekend.  This special will air live on Sony Ten 1 and Sony Ten 3 channels.
