NEW DELHI: After successfully carrying out three editions of the Khelo India Youth Games, the Indian government has decided to conduct the Khelo India University Games. The first edition is being organized by the government of Odisha in association with the Sports Authority of India, Association of Indian Universities, National Sports Federation and Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and participating universities from February 22 to March 1.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Golf Union (IGU) is divided over an EGM convened on June 6 to amend its constitution as demanded by the Sports Ministry, with a faction terming the meet ‘illegal’.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, this meet is essential in due to the Sports Ministry derecognising the federation since it failed to comply with the National Sports Code and holding elections.

The government will be looking to rope in those corporates who have a history of supporting sporting initiatives in the executive board that manages the NSDF.

NEW DELHI: Beijing Olympic Games Gold medallist Abhinav Bindra on Friday resigned as the chairman of the Sports Ministry’s Target Olympic Podium (TOP).
In posting on his official Twitter handle, the Indian shooter announced his decision and said he will now focus on private projects and expanding his Abhinav Bindra Targeting Performance Centres across India.
