Target Olympic Podium

NEW DELHI: A total of 192 Indian athletes will be supported by the Target Olympic Podium (TOP) Scheme till the conclusion of the Asian Games in Jakarta in September. 

The latest list of athletes under TOP Scheme was revealed by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) on Wednesday.

“This list is dynamic and will be reviewed regularly,” SAI director general Neelam Kapur told PTI. For the record, the SAI DG heads the Mission Olympic Cell (MOC).

NEW DELHI: Beijing Olympic Games Gold medallist Abhinav Bindra on Friday resigned as the chairman of the Sports Ministry’s Target Olympic Podium (TOP).   In posting on his official Twitter handle, the Indian shooter announced his decision and said he will now focus on private projects and expanding his Abhinav Bindra Targeting Performance Centres across India.

NEW DELHI: The Sports Ministry will soon launch a Request for Proposal (RfP) to hire international consultants for recruiting professionals to execute the flagship Target Olympic Podium (TOP) and Khelo India programmes, Indian Express reports.
