NEW YORK: Anheuser-Busch has announced its renewed commitment to U.S. Soccer as official beer sponsor. 

The extension continues the longest strategic partnership in U.S. Soccer history, which began in 1987. With the refreshed multi-year marketing partnership, Anheuser-Busch will support the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams throughout the United States.

NEW YORK: U.S. Soccer (USSF) and the U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) players Tuesday announced an agreement to resolve a six-year legal battle over equal pay.  The deal will see US women soccer players split $22 million plus bonuses that match those of their male counterparts.  The compensation agreed is about one-third of what they had sought in damages, CBS Sports reports.

DETROIT: U.S. Soccer announced Monday a landmark, integrated partnership with global automobile giant, Volkswagen as the brand has been named its presenting automotive partner till 2022. The agreement was facilitated by Soccer United Marketing (SUM), U.S. Soccer’s partner for the past 15 years.

ORLANDO, Fla: US Soccer’s membership elected Carlos Cordeiro as the federation’s 32nd president during the national council meeting at its annual general meeting (AGM) here over the weekend.  Cordeiro, who won on the third ballot, replaces outgoing president Sunil Gulati and will serve a four-year term.
