Real Kashmir FC sets up women’s football team

REAL KASHMIR Football Club (RKFC) on Sunday announced the formation of a women’s team, which will compete at national tournaments.

On the occasion of Daughter's Day, RKFC chairman Sandeep Chattoo said: This team will be for the daughters of Jammu and Kashmir “as we believe that girls have tremendous sporting potential and can go miles if trained properly”. 

Chattoo's wife Poonam, who is originally a resident of Coorg in Karnataka, will have overall charge of the team.

FC Goa 2nd ISL side to have women’s team
MUMBAI: Indian Super League team FC Goa on Saturday launched its women’s team ahead of the second edition of the Vedanta Goa Women's Football League, Press Trust of India reports. The tournament is scheduled for an August 14 start with eight teams expected to participate. Naresh Virnodkar will be coaching the team as training for the league has begun at the Chowgule Sports Centre in Margao.
