World Boxing Council

Xfinite’s blockchain-based video streaming application Mzaalo has acquired the India territory live streaming rights for the upcoming World Boxing Council (WBC) Super Lightweight World Championship title bout between Jose Zepeda and Regis Prograis.

Mzaalo sub-licensed the rights from US-based Legendz Entertainment, the master rights holder. 

The fight will be held over 12-rounds on Sunday, November 27 at 7.30 am – 11.30 am IST. The championship will take place at ‘The War Grounds’, Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, CA, US.

NEW DELHI: The World Boxing Council, its board of governors, and WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman Thursday announced the formation of the WBC India committee, in collaboration with the Indian Boxing Council, as the WBC’s strategic governing body and ally in India. It bears noting that the governing body of the sport in India, as recognised by the Union Sports Ministry, is the Boxing Federation of India.

The 'Super Boxing League – Pakistan will be held with franchised-based teams participating in the league. “There will be eight teams and each team will comprise eight boxers,” Khan told Geo TV.
