Protesting wrestlers on Monday decided to take their “agitation global” by approaching Olympic medallists and athletes from other countries.

This follows the opportunistic silence of India's top sportspersons (barring a few honorable exceptions) on the ongoing protests seeking the arrest of former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and BJP strongman Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, accused of sexual harrassment by multiple women wrestlers

The wrestlers warned that if their demands were not heeded, a “big call” would be taken after May 21.

The biggest beneficiary are Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat and Pooja Dhanda who have been put in the ‘A’ category. The others have been divided in four other categories – B to E.
