MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) has retained exclusive broadcast rights for the third edition of the Lanka Premier League. 

The broadcaster will get the exclusive television rights across the Indian subcontinent including India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Nepal, and Maldives along with digital rights for India and Sri Lanka. Cricket fans are in for a high-octane ride with 40+ matches to be telecast across Sony Sports Ten 1 & Sony Sports Ten 5 channels.

MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) has returned as a broadcast partner for the second edition of Lanka Premier League (LPL).  The network has signed an agreement with the official franchise and broadcast holder of LPL - the IPG Group. The agreement between SPN and the IPG Group includes the television and digital transmission of the LPL, which is set to be played between December 5 and December 23.

COLOMBO: The Lanka Premier League Colombo franchise has a new owner as Founder and Chairman of Softlogic Holdings PLC, Ashok Pathirage enters the second season of the premier T20 tournament of the Island Nation by acquiring the Colombo-based franchise in the tournament. The Colombo franchise will witness explosive players who will set the stage alight for their side in the upcoming LPL, which begins on 05 December 2021.

COLOMBO: The player draft of the 2nd edition of the Lanka Premier League 2021, which was scheduled to be held on 05th November, has been rescheduled and will take place on the 09th November. This decision was taken to accommodate a request made by several franchise owners, owing to the fact that the draft coincided with the Diwali festival season.

COLOMBO: The Player Draft of the second edition of the Lanka Premier League 2021, Sri Lanka's topmost domestic T20 League, is scheduled to be held on the 5th November.   A total of 600 players, consisting of 300 overseas and 300 Sri Lankan players, will feature in the upcoming ‘Draft,’ which will be held virtually with the participation of five franchise owners and the SLC officials.

COLOMBO: The Lanka Premier League 2021 will commence on the 5th December at the RPICS, Colombo, with the inaugural game scheduled to be played between Galle and Jaffna starting at 07.30 PM local time. The first round of the tournament, which will consist of 20 games will be played at the RPICS, Colombo before it moves into MRICS, Hambantota to proceed with the final round games.

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka Cricket confirmed Tuesday that the second edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) will be held between July 30 and August 22, as earlier announced. The inaugural edition of the LPL, Sri Lanka’s topmost domestic T20 league, with an international flavor, was conducted last year at the MRICS, Hambantota, with the participation of five teams.

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka Cricket has confirmed that the 2nd Edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) will be held from 30th July to 22nd August. "We have found a suitable window to hold this year’s edition, whilst we are currently working on finalizing the other details of the tournament," said Professor Arjuna De Silva, chairman, management committee of Sri Lanka Cricket.
