RedBird Capital Partners completes €1.2bn buyout of AC Milan

MILAN, Italy: US-based private investment firm RedBird Capital Partners, which has a stake in Liverpool and the Boston Red Sox, Thursday announced that it has completed the acquisition of Serie A giants AC Milan for €1.2 billion.

Closer home, RedBird Capital holds a 15% stake in Indian Premier League franchise Rajasthan Royals, which it bought in to in June 2021.

Rajasthan Royals owners acquire CPL franchise Barbados Tridents
LONDON: Royals Sports Group (Emerging Media Sporting Holdings Ltd), owners of the Rajasthan Royals IPL franchise, Friday announced that they have acquired a majority stake in the Caribbean Premier League franchise Barbados Tridents.  The two-time CPL champions will be rebranded as the Barbados Royals, a partner franchise of the Rajasthan Royals, as the Royals Sports Group seeks to expand its global presence.

US pvt investment firm takes 15% stake in RR at $250m valuation
MUMBAI: US private investment firm RedBird Capital Partners announced Thursday that it has acquired a 15% stake in Emerging Media Sporting Holding Ltd, the parent company that owns and operates Indian Premier League franchise Rajasthan Royals. According to UK's Financial Times, the 15% stake offload to RedBird Capital values the IPL franchise at $250 million (Rs 18.538 billion).
