NEW DELHI: In a first, digital streaming of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) matches has shattered all previous records in terms of response from both advertisers and viewers, JioCinema, the official streaming partner of IPL matches, has asserted.

JioCinema has roped in 26 big ticket sponsors for the tournament. This is the highest number of sponsors any sporting event that is streaming on digital has received, an official press release declares.

MUMBAI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule for TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, which will be held in Mumbai and Pune.  A total number of 70 league matches and 4 Playoff games will be played over 65 days.  The 15th season will start on 26th March at the Wankhede stadium with a blockbuster clash between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.

MUMBAI: Indian Premier League host broadcaster Star Sports has increased the rates of IPL on-air sponsorships by 20%. Economic Times, quoting industry sources, reports that Star Sports has already sealed deals with 10 on-air advertisers for IPL 2022 at the revised rates.

MUMBAI: Following its meeting Thursday, the IPL governing council confirmed on Friday that the 15th edition of the Tata Indian Premier League will be played in a bio-secure environment at a single hub to avoid air travel, considered a major threat for the spread of COVID-19. The tournament will kickstart from 26th March and the final will be played on 29th May.

MUMBAI: 10 franchises, 600 players and 217 possible slots up for grabs. The bidding wars in the two-day Tata Indian Premier League 2022 mega-auction concluded in Bengaluru Sunday with a total of Rs 5.517 billion (Rs 551.7 crore) spent on 204 cricketers, of which 67 were overseas players.  Of the 204 players bought, 107 were capped and 97 uncapped.
