HI, FIH donate Rs3.1m to Odisha CM Relief Fund

NEW DELHI: Hockey India on Wednesday donated Rs 3.1 million to the Odisha CM's Relief Fund.

HI said that this was in appreciation of the state's efforts to ensure the smooth conduct of the FIH Men''s Series Finals in Bhubaneshwar in June despite the damage caused by Cyclone Fani.

An HI statement said that its president Mohd. Mushtaque Ahmad and IOA president Narinder Dhruv Batra jointly presented a cheque of Rs 3.1 million to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in Bhubaneshwar.

FIH Academy courses on sidelines of Hockey Series Finals
BHUBANESWAR: Even as the iconic Kalinga Hockey Stadium prepares to host the much-awaited FIH Men's Series Finals Bhubaneswar Odisha 2019, FIH Academy and hosts Hockey India will be conducting a series of courses for technical officials, umpires and aspiring coaches on the sidelines of the event which is part of the important 2020 Tokyo Olympic qualifying pathway.
