PepsiCo signs on Shafali Verma as brand ambassador

MUMBAI: Beverage major PepsiCo has roped in 16-year old Indian cricketer Shafali Verma as one of its brand ambassadors for one year, the Economic Times reported quoting sources. 

Pepsi will be Shafali's first contract with a major brand. The beverage firm recently signed Bollywood star Salman Khan as its face on a two-year deal.

Shafali is hailed as one of the promising talents to watch out for in women's cricket. The explosive top-order batswoman is currently playing the ICC Women's T20I World Cup, where India will take on Australia in the final in Melbourne on March 8.

NEW DELHI: PepsiCo India has roped in star athlete Hima Das as the brand ambassador for its sports drink brand Gatorade. She joins ace shuttler PV Sindhu and javelin star Neeraj Chopra as the brand’s ambassadors in the country. “Gatorade India will also work with Hima Das during the period of partnership to understand her training and race-day nutrition better,” the company said in a statement.
