NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court has further extended the already long rope given to BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and board secretary Jay Shah, both of whose tenures have long ended as per the apex court's own judgments, for a further two weeks.

In its latest sitting on Thursday, the Supreme Court Bench of Justice L Narasimha Rao and Justice Vineet Saran decided to hear the BCCI matter "after two weeks".

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court, on Wednesday, December 9, decreed it would continue hearings on the proposed amendments to the Board of Control for Cricket in India's constitution in the third week of January. Restricting itself to procedural matters, the apex court DID NOT take up hearing the BCCI's application seeking amendments to its constitution.

MUMBAI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India will add a ninth franchise from Ahmedabad ahead of the 2021 season of the Indian Premier League, at least two newspapers have reported. While the IPL Governing Council has not discussed the matter as yet, a formal announcement will be made in due course, New Indian Express reports.
