Organisers drop plan to allow fans at Indianapolis 500

THE INDIANAPOLIS MOTOR SPEEDWAY has issued the following statement: “It is with great regret that we announce the 104th Running of the Indianapolis 500 will take place on Aug. 23 without fans. 

This tough decision was made following careful consideration and extensive consultation with state and city leadership.

Indianapolis 500 protocols limit attendance to 25% capacity
NEW YORK: Based on policies and procedures put into effect by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, IMS officials announced Tuesday that attendance for the 104th Running of the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, Aug. 23 will be approximately 25 percent of capacity.
