MUMBAI: Skill-based fantasy sports platform Blitzpools, having added over 1m new customers since launch in March of this year, has signed six new rising stars to Team Blitz, its brand ambassador team.
Team Blitz has added five cricketers with Chetan Sakariya, Ishan Porel, Riyan Parag, Avesh Khan and Shardul Thakur joining the team.
Team Blitz is also very proud to announce its first footballer, Dheeraj Singh. Dheeraj (20) came into the news for his solid performances in the India U17 World Cup where he was the first choice goalkeeper. Apart from his national duties, Dheeraj Singh just recently registered 26 Saves, the most by any goalkeeper in a group stage and a record in the AFC Champions League while playing for the ISL club FC Goa.
“We have been eyeing Dheeraj for quite some time and he is our first football brand ambassador. We are beyond excited he has agreed to join Team Blitz. Team Blitz was formed in 2020 when Ishan Kishan, Rahul Chahar, Shreyas Gopal and Wriddhiman Saha were the first sign on. Their charisma, winning attitudes and on field successes led to strong customer engagement across all Blitzpools channels including the website, mobile app, and all social channels.
These gentlemen were subsequently joined by Rahul Tewatia, Shahrukh Khan and Mohammed Shami. These new signings generated tremendous excitement and have led to an explosion in new player growth.
All members of Team Blitz will be an integral part of the Blitzpools marketing strategy: 360-degree online/offline campaign across all marketing channels. They will be highly active on social in the weeks leading up to the re-launch of IPL (September) and will drive both signup and engagement numbers across the site.
