MUMBAI: India is among 16 countries to have have confirmed participation for the International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Junior Championship slated for January 18 to February 6, 2021 at the Kenyan capital’s Nairobi Club.
Some of the other countries expected to grace the three-week event include Turkey, France, South Africa, Great Britain, Italy, Belgium, France, USA, Denmark, Canada and Egypt.
Tennis Kenya (TK) administrator Nancy Nduku has stated the event will conform to the COVID-19 protocols released by the East African nation’s Ministry of Sports.
“Our preparations have already started and once we get to the second week of January, we should be able to release the seeding and draw of the tournament,” Nduku had earlier told local media.
“We have looked at all the things which we need to do and I am confident we will have a good event,” added Nduku.
