Intl Swimming League season 2: Eurosport to t’cast in India

LONDON: The final schedule for Season 2020 of the International Swimming League (ISL) was announced Wednesday by the organizers, with competition beginning this Friday in Budapest, Hungary, and concluding on Sunday, 22 November.

While the upcoming ISL 2020 season 2 will broadcast to more than 140 countries, and territories around the world, in India it will be showcased by Discovery-owned Eurosport.

The six weeks of competition will feature 10 teams from North America, Europe and Asia, all loaded with the world’s elite swimmers, including Team GB’s Adam Peaty, Florent Manaudou from France, Federica Pellegrini from Italy, Hungarian Katinka HosszĂº and American duo Caeleb Dressel and Lilly King.

All matches will take place at Budapest’s Duna Arena.

The schedule was designed to produce six weeks of world-class competition while ensuring the health and safety of all those involved in the staging of the event during the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting with 10 group stage matches, the event will then move into two semi-finals before culminating in the final on 21 and 22 November. The decision to stage the final in the same location was to ensure the ongoing safety of the teams and to reduce the need to travel in these uncertain times.

The six other teams competing for the title this season are the Aqua Centurions, DC Trident, Tokyo Frog Kings, Toronto Titans, Iron, and London Roar.

The upcoming ISL 2020 season 2 will to more than 140 countries and territories around the world when it kicks off in Budapest, Hungary in just two days.

Fans from all over the world will enjoy this year’s biggest global sport event and the only major competition to feature no less than 400 of the world’s best swimmers, Olympic champions and world record holders, over 5 weeks of action, emotion, entertainment and excitement.
