Three Punjab Kings (PBKS) players – Shreyas Iyer, Shashank Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal – entered the Bigg Boss house and appeared on the popular show’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode on Sunday.
During a candid conversation with Bollywood superstar and show host Salman Khan, Shreyas Iyer was revealed as the new captain of PBKS for the upcoming Indian Premier League season 18.
The announcement happened for the first time on the stage of Bigg Boss.
As part of the marketing activation, the three players entered the Big Boss house as its the finale week and the housemates are under tremendous pressure. The players, known for their ability to handle high-pressure situations, shared some valuable lessons and uplifting energy with the contestants to negate pressure and tackle tricky situation in a positive way.
The unique mode of captain announcement is a result of a never-seen-before collaboration between Punjab Kings and Endemol, highlighting the team’s efforts to go out of their way and showcase the franchise in a new avatar. The partnership further aims to fuel PBKS’ promotion of the new squad and players, along with new coach Ricky Ponting.
