B’luru Raptors overcome Mumbai Rockets to claim PBL4 crown

BENGALURU: A year after losing a narrow final to the Hyderabad Hunters, Bengaluru Raptors came up trumps in their second successive finals, edging the Mumbai Rockets 4-3 to win their first Premier Badminton League title at the Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, here on Sunday.

The PBL Season 4 winners were richer by Rs 30 million for their efforts, while the Mumbai team went home Rs 15 million to the good as runners-up.

With total prize money for the season standing at Rs 60 million, the teams which finished in the third and fourth places – Hyderabad Hunters and Awadhe Warriors respectively – were awarded Rs 7.5 million each.
