NBA India Games 2019: Kings flying ‘Air Drake’

MUMBAI: Superstar rapper Drake is lending his $185 million ($200m as per some reports) Boeing 767-200ER “Air Drake” to the Sacramento Kings for the NBA team’s upcoming trip to India.

The Kings leave Monday evening for the first leg of their trip. They’ll make a brief stop in London for fuel and before the final 10 hour flight to India. With the time change, they’ll get in on Wednesday morning.

The Sacramento Kings will face off against the Indiana Pacers Friday and Saturday for the India Games 2019, the first-ever pre-season NBA games to be played in the country.

“Yesterday, out of consideration for the comfort of the players given the travel time required to make this historic trip to India, the Kings finalized an additional aircraft for the players and several members of the coaching staff,” Kings’ Indian-American owner Vivek Ranadive’s team told NBC Sports California.
