MUMBAI: Network18, the Reliance-owned media conglomerate, has named Maruti Indoria as head of business for its digital platform CricketNext.
Indoria will join the company from SonyLIV, Sony Pictures Networks India’s digital arm where he was previously worked as its head of sales. It comes as no surprise that he played a key role in the OTT platform securing as many as 35 advertisers, a record for the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia.
Courtesy his monetization strategies, Sony has benefited from the acquisitions of global properties such as MotoGP, NBA and the WWE as well as its cricket portfolio of rights from Australia, England, South Africa, Pakistan and West Indies.
Indoria has over 15 years of experience in other top media companies as well such as Times Internet, Sify Technologies and Business Standard in the fields of ad sales, digital marketing and social media marketing.
He will be reporting to the Network18 head of digital operations Puneet Singhvi at CricketNext’s Mumbai headquarters.
