NEW DELHI: JK Tyres, the Indian tyre brand which has been renowned for its support to developing motorsport in the country, has been named the title sponsor of the first-ever TSD (Time, Speed and Distance) event in India exclusively for women called ‘Times Women’s Drive’.
More than 300 women will be participating in the FMSCI-backed competition, split across 100 teams which will drive 250 km from New Delhi to Chandigarh starting Saturday.
“We are delighted to be part of this iconic event. JK Tyre Motorsports has always pushed for women’s participation in racing and rallying. This is a momentous occasion for all of us involved with motorsports in India with as many as 300 ladies stepping forward to compete in this rally,” JK Motorsport head Sanjay Sharma said.
