Premier League extends #PassOnPlastic initiative to primary schools in UK

LONDON: The Premier League has taken its operations with Sky Ocean Rescue, one of its CSR partners to primary schools across the United Kingdom in the form of a new competition called ‘Plastic Pollution Challenge’.

Sky Ocean Rescue is Premier League’s official UK broadcaster, Sky Sports’ specialist team of plastics experts who are dedicated to helping businesses reduce their single-use plastic usage. The competition is a part of their #PassOnPlastic Initiative, which was launched in April 2018.

It was launched by Sky Ocean Rescue brand ambassador and former British women’s footballer, Alex Scott. The Plastic Pollution Challenge’s aim is to make primary school pupils think about ways to cut usage of plastics and to make them aware of the environmental hazard.

The best responses from schools will earn them the chance to travel to the Sky Academy Studios in London and entertain a visit from the Premier League Trophy.
