MUMBAI: Sports Flashes, the Times Group owned digital sports radio platform that was launched in January, has extended its services to social media giant Twitter.
Fans in India can now listen to live radio commentary of all English Premier League and Indian cricket matches on Sports Flashes’ Twitter handle.
“Twitter has always been the destination for live sports conversation. Our partnership with SportsFlashes will ensure the conversation gets richer, as fans will now be able to listen to their favourite sports live on the platform,” Twitter Asia Pacific head of Sports Partnerships, Aneesh Madani told Economic Times.
“Twitter is a natural ally for us. Fans are already having a public conversation on the platform about sports in the moment. We’re thrilled to be the first rights holder to broadcast live audio commentary for premium properties like the Premier League and India cricket on Twitter,” Sports Flashes CEO Raman Raheja said.
“We truly believe in the power of audio to help fans keep up with stories in sport and have invested in a world class commentary unit for Indian cricket. This will be a landmark partnership in sport.”
Sports Flashes broadcasts a variety of sports content such as live chat commentaries, talk shows, expert analysis, special sports programs, sports news, audio documentaries, university sports and sportainment content.
