Eurosport to broadcast intl judo in Europe and Asia-Pacific till 2020

LONDON: Discovery owned pan Europan sportscaster Eurosport has reached agreement to showcase all fights sanctioned by the International Judo Federation (IJF) for the next three years in the run up to the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics. 

The partnership will see Eurosport screen highlights shows from major events on the judo calendar including the Grand Slams, Masters and the World Judo Championships in 54 countries and territories across Europe and 16 markets in the Asia-Pacific region. It will also produce producing fresh and innovative content for TV and digital platforms as well as news articles in five European languages on its website, eurosport.com.

Eurosport is also planning for a monthly magazine show and brand new episodes of its brilliant Sports Explainer series as well as profiling an array of stars from the sport in a new format “24 hours with…”
