NEW DELHI: Football Delhi (erstwhile Delhi Soccer Association), as per it’s annual calendar, will launch the Delhi Premier Football League, the first professional league in the National Capital Region (NCR), in October.
For entry and registration of new clubs in the pro league, interested parties can collect the tender document from FD House, Jangpura Extension on or before 20th August by paying a fee of Rs 1000.
Existing clubs who fulfill basic 2nd Division I-League criteria and who wish to adopt professional structure would be allowed entry into the pro league. The Premier Football League will complete its fictures by the end of December so as to facilitate NCR teams to be a part of I-League 2nd Division.
“This is an initiative to strengthen our club structure in Delhi and part of building a robust competitive structure from top to bottom of the football pyramid,” Football Delhi treasurer NK Bhatia stated.
