LONDON: The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), the organizer of the Wimbledon Championships, announced on Saturday a string of renewed commercial partnerships two days prior to the 2018 edition of the world’s most hallowed Grand Slam. These deals are set to begin from 2019 onwards.
evian, the French bottled water brand, will continue as the official water supplier of the tournament. Switzerland-based, HSBC will be the official bank while Lanson and Stella Artois will remain as its official champagne and beer partners.
American Express will hop on board as the new official payments partner.
beIN Sport, which holds the exclusive broadcast rights for the FIFA World Cup and Formula 1 in many European, African and Middle East countries, will also continue to have Wimbledon in its portfolio in France, Middle East & North Africa. NHK in Japan and Telefonica in Spain were named as well.
“Our commercial strategy has always been founded on building long term relationships that deliver mutual value to us and to our partners,” Mick Desmond, Commercial & Media director at the AELTC said.
