LONDON: Defending champion and 8-time winner, Roger Federer was felicitated by Wimbledon organizers with 1,888 limited edition towels. The towels have been embroidered with Federer’s name and his eight trophies with each year of victory.
The towel was made available for fans to purchase online for a period of 3 days beginning Saturday. However, they were sold out within 5 hours itself.
The proceeds from the sale of the towels will be donated to the Wimbledon Foundation and Roger Federer Foundation.
Earlier, the Grand Slam had also come out with a special video featuring Federer candidly talking about his record-breaking journey at the Wimbledon.
