MUMBAI: Talent management company KWAN Entertainment has signed up Indian U-19 team vice-captain and batsman Shubman Gill into its portfolio of clients from the sports world,
Gill joins a roster that includes his captain at Kolkata Knight Riders, Dinesh Karthik, squash player Dipika Pallikal (also Karthik’s spouse) and tennis star Sania Mirza.
Indranil Das Blah, the co-CEO of KWAN Entertainment commented: “We are excited to announce that Shubman Gill has joined the KWAN family. We have always been very keen on supporting the growing Indian sports market, and Shubman’s addition to our sports entertainment roster is a testament to just that. We are delighted to be a part of his journey and reinstate our focus on cricket with this signing.”
The 18-year-old Punjab batsman made a name for himself as India’s highest run-getter and Man of the Tournament in their victorious Under-19 World Cup campaign earlier this year. He was also named the U-19 Player of the Year at the CEAT Cricket Awards recently.
