Pro Panja League season 2 kicks off with entertaining ceremony

PRO PANJA LEAGUE Season 2 officially kicked off in Gwalior with a high-octane opening ceremony at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Training Centre for Disability Sports.

The inaugural event was graced by Shri Vishvas Kailash Sarang, Honourable Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare, Madhya Pradesh, who extended his support to the league’s vision of promoting indigenous sports. Organising Committee Chairman Prabal Pratap Singh Tomar was also present to welcome the league’s grand entry into the state.

A standout moment of the evening was a light-hearted yet electrifying panja face-off between two icons of Indian sport — The Great Khali and Vijender Singh — playfully hosted by Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav. The trio brought waves of energy to the arena while also announcing their official roles as team ambassadors for Sher E Ludhiana and Rohtak Rowdies, further igniting the competitive spirit.

The evening also featured a curated opening ceremony, brought to life by ArtKonnect Management, marking their second consecutive season of collaboration with the league.

ArtKonnect Management founder Anand Kanwar said, “We are honoured to collaborate with Swen, led by Parvinn Dabass and Preeti Jhangiani, and deeply appreciate the trust they have placed in us. Having successfully delivered large-scale opening ceremonies across cricket, rugby, and football in India, returning to the world of Panja for the second time is both an exciting opportunity and a moment of pride for us. At ArtKonnect Management, we are constantly striving to push boundaries in the sports and entertainment space, and this partnership marks yet another significant milestone in our journey.”
