DREAM LEAGUE OF INDIA (DLI), the India’s tennis-ball cricket league, has appointed Ashwin Haryani as its strategic consultant. His arrival signals DLI’s intent to accelerate growth across India while nurturing a strong pipeline of young talent.
Haryani brings with him over a decade of leadership experience across gaming, esports, and business. Most recently, he served as India’s country head for Ampverse, where he launched College Rivals, India’s college-level esports league. In 2016, he co-founded GamingMonk, an esports community platform that scaled to over 1.5 million gamers nationwide before being acquired by Mobile Premier League (MPL) in 2021. Following the acquisition, Haryani went on to lead MPL’s esports operations in India, the United States, and Indonesia.
At DLI, Haryani will drive the league’s expansion strategy, shaping its national and international roadmap while strengthening grassroots cricket development.
DLI director Rishabh Bhatia said, “Ashwin’s experience in building communities and taking them to the next level will help us grow DLI faster. His advice and vision will guide us as we shape the future of this league.”
Haryani added, “Grassroots talent has always been the heartbeat of cricket, and DLI is creating the right platform for it to flourish. I’m excited to be part of this journey where young players get the exposure, training, and opportunities they truly deserve. Together, we can take this format to newer heights and give aspiring cricketers a real chance to shine on bigger stages.”
