Nike Grind onboards Gallant Sports as 1st India licensee

NEW DELHI: Nike Grind, a global sustainability initiative by Nike, Inc., has onboarded sports infrastructure company Gallant Sports as its first licensee in India.

As part of this initiative, Gallant Sports has launched GallantBounce, India’s first-ever sustainable turf infill made with minimum 20% of Nike Grind rubber.

From scrap to scores
Nike Grind recycles manufacturing scrap and end-of-life athletic footwear into durable, high-impact materials for sports surfaces. Now, thanks to this licensing partnership, Gallant Sports brings that global innovation to Indian soil.

With the launch of GallantBounce, Indian football fields, school playgrounds, multi-sport courts, and community grounds will now feature a recycled, high-performance infill that doesn’t just bounce, it “booms with purpose”, an official release asserts.

Gallant Sports & Infra founder & CEO Nasir Ali shares: “GallantBounce is more than a product, it’s a statement. A statement that India is ready to rise sustainably, one field at a time. With Nike Grind’s world-class materials and our on-ground expertise, we’re setting the stage for a new era of green play. This is our 6AM sunrise moment for sports in India.”

Nike Grind director Matt Curtis added: “We’re excited to welcome Gallant Sports as a licensed partner in India. Their commitment to sustainability and innovation aligns with the purpose of Nike Grind. Together, we’re not just building better sports surfaces, we’re creating a better future through circular design.”

Built for Indian play
GallantBounce is designed for extreme Indian weather, heavy footfall, and multi-sport versatility, from grassroots playgrounds to elite stadiums.

Its key features are:
*High shock absorption for injury prevention
*Superior longevity even in intense weather
*Tested durability in Indian soil and usage conditions
*Pan-India supply and installation by Gallant Sports

And for institutions with an eye on eco-leadership: GallantBounce supports LEED credits and aligns with CSR and green building mandates.

Making circular economy a reality
This isn’t a theoretical shift, it’s physical. Nike Grind has already recycled over 67 million kilos of material globally. With every GallantBounce field installed in India, it means improved landfill diversion, more sustainable builds, and smarter play.
