INTERNATIONAL CRICKET COUNCIL (ICC) Chairman Jay Shah met global football icon Lionel Messi in New Delhi during the latter’s ongoing visit to India, marking a crossover between football and cricket.
During the meeting, Shah felicitated Messi with a Team India jersey, a signed cricket bat, and an invitational ticket to India’s opening match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
Messi is set to conclude his India tour today in New Delhi, bringing to an end a visit marked by memorable moments and wide public attention.
