PROFESSIONAL GOLF TOUR OF INDIA’S (PGTI) franchise-based competition, 72 The League, has announced the addition of a new Rajasthan-based team, jointly owned by Haldiram Snacks Food and the KLJ Group of Companies.
The partnership reflects a shared ambition to strengthen and develop golfing talent in India through collaboration with 72 The League. The formal agreement was signed by Haldiram Snacks Food chairman and managing director Manohar Lal Agarwal and KLJ Group of Companies group managing director Hemant Jain, alongside PGTI president Kapil Dev, marking the two companies’ entry into the league.
Jointly launched by PGTI and Game of Life Sports (GOLS), 72 The League is set to begin on 21 February. Its inaugural season will be staged across three prominent golf courses in the Delhi-NCR region: Classic Golf & Country Club, Jaypee Greens and Qutab Golf Course.
Haldiram Snacks Food is among India’s most recognisable food brands, with a global presence built on its range of traditional snacks, sweets and convenience foods. The KLJ Group of Companies, meanwhile, is a leading manufacturer of plasticisers, chemicals and polymer compounds, with operations spanning India, Qatar and Thailand, according to the official release.
