India to host Billie Jean King Cup regional qualifier

ALL INDIA TENNIS ASSOCIATION (AITA) has announced that the country will host the Billie Jean King Cup 2026 Asia/Oceania Group I event, the regional qualifying stage of the women’s team world cup.

“India has been given the privilege of hosting the World Cup of Women Tennis 2026 Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Asia/Oceania Group I Event in April this year,” AITA’s secretary general Anil Dhupar said in a statement.

The competition will be staged at the newly renovated courts of the Delhi Lawn Tennis Association Complex from 7 to 11 April.

The tournament will follow a round-robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the play-offs. Hosts India will be joined by teams from Indonesia, South Korea, Mongolia, New Zealand and Thailand, all competing for the two promotion spots, the AITA official added.
