Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime show sets new viewership record, NBC estimates

THE SUPER BOWL LX halftime show at Levi’s Stadium, which took place on Sunday and was fronted by Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny has shattered the all-time viewership record,  per host broadcaster NBC’s primary telecast estimates.

While final Nielsen numbers are still being tallied, Bad Bunny’s high-energy “Conejo Malo” production, featuring an all-Spanish setlist and guests like Ricky Martin, reportedly drew over 135 million viewers. If confirmed, it would mean that he has officially dethroned Kendrick Lamar as the king of halftime viewership.

With Bad Bunny currently the world’s most-streamed artist, the NFL selected the Puerto Rican star to headline one of the most anticipated and widely viewed halftime shows.

According to Nielsen Media Research, Kendrick Lamar drew 133.5 million viewers last year, while Usher attracted 123.4 million in 2024.

The Latin artist’s 13-minute performance featured elaborate set pieces, including a staged wedding, appearances by well-known Latin celebrities, and multiple nods to his Puerto Rican roots and broader Latin American culture.
