ALL INDIA FOOTBALL FEDERATION (AIFF) on Monday issued an invitation for bids for the commercial rights to its men’s and women’s club competitions for the upcoming Indian football season.
In a departure from last year’s process, the Request for Proposal (RFP) will not be made publicly available online. Instead, interested parties must purchase the document directly from the federation at a cost of Rs 2.5 lakh.
“Any bid submitted in response to the RFP by an entity that has not made the payment described hereinabove shall be summarily rejected and not considered for any evaluation under the RFP,” the AIFF said.
The federation has structured the tender into two separate packages. Package A covers the top tier of men’s club football, while Package B relates to two divisions of women’s competitions.
Package A includes the Indian Super League (ISL) and the Super Cup. Package B comprises the Indian Women’s League (IWL) and IWL 2.
