Qualys renews partnership with San Francisco Unicorns

QUALYS, a provider of cloud-based IT, security and compliance solutions, has announced the continuation of its partnership with the San Francisco Unicorns as the team’s major partner and official cybersecurity partner for the 2026 and 2027 seasons of Major League Cricket (MLC).

The renewed deal follows a successful inaugural partnership in 2025, a season in which the Unicorns reached the MLC playoffs for the second year in a row and played in front of home fans at the Oakland Coliseum for the first time. Building on that momentum, the two Bay Area organisations aim to strengthen their collaboration, with a shared focus on expanding cricket’s presence in the region and deepening ties with the local community.

As part of the extended agreement, Qualys will continue to feature as the front-of-shirt sponsor on all Unicorns matchday and training kits.

A key element of the partnership will be continued engagement with the “Sparkle Army”, the passionate fan community supporting the Unicorns, whose enthusiasm has played an important role in fostering an inclusive cricket culture across the Bay Area.

The Unicorns will enter the 2026 MLC season under new head coach Cameron White. The tournament is scheduled to run from 18 June to 18 July. The squad includes players such as Haris Rauf, Finn Allen, Matt Short, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Sanjay Krishnamurthi, Tim Seifert and Romario Shepherd.

Qualys president and CEO Sumedh Thakar said, “Cricket is a game of strategy, precision, and resilience, values that strongly align with how we innovate at Qualys. We’re proud to continue our partnership with the San Francisco Unicorns and support the growth of the sport in the Bay Area over the next two years. It’s a natural extension of our dedication to building strong community connections and celebrating excellence. We look forward to another outstanding season together.”

San Francisco Unicorns CEO David White added, “We’re thrilled to extend our flagship partnership with Qualys for a further two seasons. Building the Unicorns into a modern sports and entertainment success story requires partners who are aligned with our progressive, ambitious mindset. Our shared vision was reinforced last season and has since developed into a deeply rooted relationship that engages local communities while strengthening our elite sporting objectives. Having the Qualys logo present on the front of our jerseys is a symbol of our tech-first approach, inspired by Silicon Valley and the people that power it. We’re proud to represent Qualys on and off the pitch over the next two seasons.”
