DELHI CAPITALS HAVE announced the return of their fan-centric mini web series ‘DC PG by Gulati’ for a second season, building on the strong success of its debut edition and deepening the franchise’s engagement with cricket audiences beyond the field.
The series, which is backed by JSW and GMR, will return with new characters, expanded storylines and a heightened focus on the culture of cricket fandom, as the franchise looks to strengthen its digital and entertainment footprint during the IPL season, a media release said.
Season 1 of the series delivered significant traction, garnering over 86 million views and 1.7 million engagements across platforms. The performance reinforced the growing importance of original content in connecting with fans in the IPL ecosystem.
Veteran actor Rajesh Sharma reprises his role as the central character Gulati, with the second season introducing actor Vrajesh Hirjee to the cast, adding a new comedic dynamic to the storyline. Set against a backdrop that blends Old Delhi’s cultural flavour with modern cricket fandom, the new season promises sharper humour, evolving character relationships and fan-driven narratives, the release said.
Delhi Capitals CEO Sunil Gupta said the series reflects the changing nature of fan engagement. “Fandom today goes far beyond the boundary line. Fans are looking for relatable stories and deeper connections. Season 2 expands that universe with new characters and amplified chaos, while keeping Gulati and his PG at the centre,” he said.
