BCB prez. Aminul Bulbul removed;, Tamim is ad-hoc panel head

IN AN ADMINISTRATIVE OVERHAUL, Aminul Islam Bulbul has been removed as president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), and former national captain Tamim Iqbal has been appointed as head of a newly formed ad-hoc committee.

The move, executed by Bangladesh’s National Sports Council (NSC), marks a significant shift in the governance of cricket in the country.

The NSC dissolved the existing BCB board, effectively ending Bulbul’s tenure and an 11-member ad-hoc committee has been constituted. Tamim Iqbal will lead the committee as its head and the panel has been tasked with running day-to-day operations and conducting fresh elections within 90 days

The decision has been formally communicated to the International Cricket Council (ICC), with assurances that elections will be held within a stipulated timeline.
