FANCODE HAS SECURED exclusive global broadcast rights for the SAFF Women’s Championship scheduled to be held in Margao, Goa from May 25th to June 6th.
The championship features six teams from South Asia region, including hosts India. India have been placed in Group B with Bangladesh and Maldives, while Group A features Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
India has been one of the most successful teams in the SAFF Women’s Championship registering five title wins in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2019. The Blue Tigresses will be aiming to wrest back the title from Bangladesh, who are the defending champions, and have won the last two editions in 2022 and 2024.
The broadcast deal is set to further strengthen FanCode’s Indian football portfolio which includes the ISL, AFC men’s and women’s competitions along with friendlies featuring the national team, a media release said.
