FanCode, Z to broadcast India’s T20 tour of Zimbabwe

ZIMBABWE CRICKET (ZC) announced Wednesday that leading digital sports platform FanCode and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (‘Z’) will broadcast India’s tour of Zimbabwe.

Dream Sports-owned FanCode has exclusive digital rights in India, with television broadcasts covered through a sub-licensing deal with Z.

Per ZC, the development “will significantly expand the reach” of the three-match Twenty20 International series, scheduled to be held in Harare in July.

Under the arrangement, FanCode will livestream all three matches exclusively for audiences in India through its digital platforms, while Z will broadcast the series on its newly launched Unite8 sports channels, bringing one of Zimbabwe’s biggest international fixtures to millions of viewers across television and digital platforms.

The broadcast partnership represents a major boost for the tour, with India’s visit expected to generate significant interest among cricket fans both in Zimbabwe and abroad.

Zimbabwe Cricket chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani welcomed the partnership, saying it would help maximise the visibility of a series that continues to be one of the most anticipated events on Zimbabwe’s international calendar. “Welcoming India to Zimbabwe is always a special occasion, and this tour promises to be even bigger with the broadcast reach that Z and FanCode bring together,” he said.

“We have been working with FanCode for a while and are delighted to continue that partnership for this marquee series. “Having ‘Unite8 Sports’ on board as a TV broadcaster is a testament to the growing appetite for Zimbabwean cricket. We expect packed stadiums and full screens.”

FanCode co-founder Yannick Colaco said the partnership would help deliver comprehensive coverage of the series to Indian audiences. “This partnership is a natural extension of our commitment to bringing every Indian cricket fan closer to the game. The India Tour of Zimbabwe 2026 will be a high-octane T20 spectacle, and FanCode will bring all the action live to fans, at their convenience.”

Bavesh Janavlekar, chief business officer, Unite8 Sports, said: “We are excited to offer some world class cricketing action on our newly launched Unite8 Sports channels. There could not have been a more prestigious offering than India’s tour to Zimbabwe, to introduce Unite8 Sports as a brand to cricket fans around the globe. We will continue to offer rich and engaging sporting action across our platforms and look forward to a long term partnership with Zimbabwe cricket”

The tour will feature three T20Is at Harare Sports Club on 23, 25 and 26 July.
