JKC Sports invests in Sheru Classic; intent to expand brand internationally

JKC SPORTS HAS INVESTED IN Sheru Classic Universe, a global fitness and wellness platform present across nine countries, intending to “expand the brand internationally and create pathways for Indian talent on the global stage”.

The investment announcement, the quantum of which remains undisclosed, was made by JKC Sports co-founder and JK Cement CEO & joint managing director Madhav Singhania at IHFF x Sheru Classic 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

This year’s edition drew around 250 participants from five countries and close to 150,000 lakh visitors across three days.

Singhania said: “Beyond the investment itself, we see Sheru Classic as a platform for Make-in-India talent to reach a global stage. We want to build a clear pathway from India to the world, not only through the Mr. Olympia but through new platforms across technology, infrastructure, and fitness IPs.”

The investment is part of a broader strategy by JKC Sports, co-founded by Madhav Singhania and Dr Raghavpat Singhania, spanning technology, infrastructure, and new fitness IPs, aimed at creating a pathway for Indian athletes from grassroots to international platforms such as Mr. Olympia. The move coincides with India’s growing sporting culture, increased hosting of major events, and government initiatives, including the Fit India movement and Khelo India programme.

Singhania added, “India is a young nation on its way to becoming a global superpower, and fitness, health, and wellness will be the differentiator that makes this generation more productive and more invested in nation-building. Nation-building has been the JK Group’s philosophy for decades. Through JKC Sports, we now see sport and fitness as a future pillar of our growth.”

Sheru Classic founder Sheru Aangrish commented: “For years, Indian athletes have had the talent but not always the platform. JKC Sports coming on board helps us change that, and carry more of our home-grown talent from the gym floor here to the biggest stages in the world.”
