South Korea-based sportswear major Fila Holdings Corporation has promoted Todd Klein to the newly created position of global brand president of the Fila brand.
In addition to his current responsibilities, Klein, who has headed Fila’s US division for a year, will assume accountability for all label business operations, encompassing worldwide product and marketing initiatives, the company declared.
In addition, he will take a seat on the board of directors of Fila Luxembourg, the subsidiary that owns the brand rights to all international markets with the exception of Macau, Hong Kong, and China. The athletic goods company Anta Sports has been running the label’s Chinese operations since 2009.
In his new role as global brand president, Klein aims to “ensure a comprehensive and better customer experience” by “strengthening and harmonising” the label’s global presence and image going forward. He will keep pushing for “investments in innovation” as well, the company stated.
