The stage is set for opening ceremony of the 13th edition of the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023, which will take place on Wednesday, October 4, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The tournament curtain-raiser will not only have the ten captains who will lead their different teams but will see stars from India’s film and music firmament performing.
Ranveer Singh, Shankar Mahadevan, Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Varun Dhawan, Asha Bhosle and Tamannaah Bhatia will be entertaining the crowds. Pritam, the writer and performer of this edition’s theme song, ‘Dil Jashn Bole,’ is also likely to be on the performers roster. A laser show, fireworks, and an Indian cultural celebration will complete the proceedings.
All of the entertainment will take place a day ahead of the first game of the tournament, which will have the previous edition’s finalists England and New Zealand facing off.
