THE PAKISTAN Cricket Board (PCB), which was not too pleased with the ODI World Cup 2023 draft schedule, has had their request for a change
in venues turned down by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The BCCI had prepared a draft schedule and sent it to the ICC for their approval. Pakistan have been scheduled to play Afghanistan in Chennai and Australia in Bengaluru. The PCB wanted the two group-stage games to be swapped. However, a venue can only be changed if there are security concerns or the stadium isn’t fit to host international cricket matches, a report in Cricbuzz said. hence the request has not been accommodated.
