BENGALURU: Skyjumper Trampoline Park has announced India’s first open trampoline competition, to be held on 21st May at Garuda Mall Bangalore. The event will feature 12 national-level athletes competing for cash prizes and will be an attempt to support the growth of trampolining in India.
The aim of this event is to create buzz around trampolining, which is an Olympic sport and has great potential in India. Despite being a highly engaging and thrilling sport, it hasn’t received the attention it deserves. Through this competition, Skyjumper Trampoline Park hopes to give these athletes the visibility they deserve and promote trampolining as a sport that can help our country win medals on the Olympic level, a media release said.
Apart from the open competition, the brand is also organizing an internal amateur level event for those who love to bounce, in order to promote the sport at the grassroots level.
“This internal competition will be the brand’s owned property, Skyjumper Triumph, starting with Bangalore Chapter. We conduct such amateur level competitions at all our parks under “Skyjumper Triumph”, giving people a chance to explore their passion and achieve greater heights in life. We are excited to be hosting India’s first open trampoline competition and amateur level event, as we believe in the potential of trampolining as a sport in India. Through these events, we hope to raise awareness and generate interest in trampolining, and give this sport the recognition they deserve,” a spokesperson for Skyjumper Trampoline Park said.
