FanCode to exclusively livestream Men’s Boxing World C’ship

MUMBAI: Digital sports platform FanCode will livestream the ongoing IBA Men’s Boxing World Championship from April 30-May 14. 

While the opening ceremony took place on April 30, the preliminary rounds and quarterfinals kicked off Monday. 

The tournament is being held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and serves as a qualifier for the Paris 2024 Olympics. More than 600 boxers from 104 countries have registered for the Championship.

Shiva Thapa will lead a strong Indian contingent of 13 boxers. Other puglists part of the Indian squad include the likes of Govind Sahani, Akash Sangwan, Deepak Bhoria, Mohammad Hussamuddin and Sachin Siwach.

The Men’s World Boxing Championship will be the first major boxing tournament on FanCode this year, and the line-up for the rest of the year also includes the Golden Belt series in Bangkok, Colombia, Slovenia which will take place in July, August, September respectively. The Diamond Belt series in December and the Junior World Championships, which will be held in Mexico in November 2023 will also be available on FanCode.
