Stepathlon adds Lynne Anderson, Ekta Hutton to advisory board

MUMBAI: Global fan engagement platform Stepathlon, which recently raised a round of funding from marquee investors, has announced the appointment of two new globally respected thought leaders in sport, digital, data and inclusivity to itbs advisory board.

The most recent advisory board signings include Lynne Anderson, commissioner at Australian Sports Commission and previously CEO of Australian Paralympic Committee and Ekta Hutton, who has worked for leading organisations such as the ICC, Manchester United, and sports production company, HBS.

They follow the recent appointees – Alison Lee, ATP Tour executive vice president of International Region and Rowena Samarasinhe, managing director of GenSport and partner at Sports, Media and Entertainment Law Firm, LEVEL.

On the recent appointments, Stepathlon founder and chairman Ravi Krishnan said: “We are delighted that two such accomplished and enthusiastic individuals have joined the Stepathlon Movement. Ekta has notably focussed on opening opportunities to wider communities in the sports industry. This has included a series of gender diversity initiatives, from encouraging women to play sports to taking on senior opportunities in the industry.”

On the appointment, Anderson enthused: “I’m a big believer in the Stepathlon mission and will be bringing a particular passion and focus on Para-athletes to help ensure the inspirational qualities of the platform connect with a fully inclusive audience.”

Hutton added: “The world of digital moves at a ferocious pace and Stepathlon’s objective to use technology as the enabler to harness global fan communities to get active together is both fascinating and inspiring. I look forward to seeing where I can help.”
